Phil Collins has done something this week that went viral, to the tune of millions of tweets, retweets, and news articles. He’s used his social media accounts to let fans know that if you start his “In the Air Tonight” tune at exactly 11:56:40 pm New Year’s Eve night, the fabulous drum solo will hit exactly at the stroke of midnight.

Did you know that Phil Collins played on the George Harrison album ‘All Things Must Pass’ at the age of 19? He must have liked the Beatles because they also hired him to be an extra in the ‘Hard Day’s Night’ movie. Phil didn’t grow up wanting to be a rock star, he actually grew up wanting to be an actor, appearing in the stage production of ‘Oliver’ in the late 60s.

Although Phil’s earned every music award given, his real reward is his children; and one of his daughters is nearly as famous as he: Lily has appeared in over 14 films and has starred in the television series ‘The Last Tycoon.’
