On Thursday, May 14th, Pearl Jam’s new music video ‘Retrograde’ premiered featuring climate change activist Greta Thunberg.

The music video was directed by Emmy award-winning Australian filmmaker Josh Wakely and produced by the storytelling company Grace.

The visual for the Gigaton track illustrates climate change’s apocalyptic destruction of the world within a psychic’s crystal ball that symbolizes Earth.  With watercolor visuals, the video shows different international monuments such as Paris’ Eiffel Tower, the London Bridge and Seattle’s Space Needle.

None other than Greta Thunberg is show expressing the news of  our world’s doomed fate to the band members. The video ends with the following omen: “It’s gonna take much more than ordinary love.”
