In the spirit of equal time, today we will celebrate Melania Trump, our First Lady. Before rising to the national stage as our first lady, Melania was a successful model, working in the US in the late 90s and early 2000s, earning citizen status in 2006.
Born Melania Knavus in Novo Mesto, a suburb of Slovenia on April 6th, 1970. She began like most models, working as a child actor at the age of five, finding modeling and acting roles through her teenage years.
Did you know that Melania has designed jewelry which has been sold on the QCV network? Tony Bennett, Billy Joel, and Elton John performed at her wedding in 2005, held at the Bethesda-by-the-Sea Episcopal Church in Palm Beach, Florida. Her wedding dress cost over $200,000. She’s donated her time and resources as the Goodwill Ambassador for the Red Cross and is a working member of the Police Athletic League.
