Pitch is the new series on Fox that shows off a talented young pitcher named Ginny Baker, played by Kyle Bunbury, who is on the San Diego Padres. She battles through what you would expect being the lone woman on a professional baseball team. Unfortunately we will not be seeing any more of the show has Fox has canceled the show after just one season.
Kevin Falls, the executive producer of the show, tweeted out earlier this week that it would be around no more. This is sad news as we loved the story line the creativity that everyone involved displayed with this one.
Unfortunately for Pitch, it’s tough time slot of Thursday nights was too much to overcome. It had to battle through MLB postseason action as well as Thursday Night Football. We commend everyone involved and look for more great creativity from them in the future.
