Recently, Olivia Munn hosted an Asian American and Pacific Islanders (AAPI) advocacy webinar and was unfortunately faced with a racist hacker’s “Zoom bomb” of “horrific, violent, racially charged images and audio.”

Munn took to Instagram to condemn what she called a “cowardly and unconscionable act,” explaining how important it was for the meeting to continue regardless.

“While it momentarily disrupted our event, we later resumed because these malicious acts will not stop the conversation,” she wrote. “We were communing to celebrate, elevate and protect the AAPI community and we were subjected to a hate crime in real time. It was a cowardly and unconscionable act. But to be clear, the conversation WILL go on.”

The X-Men actress personally apologized to the creators and collaborators who were part of the event.

“To our creators who joined the event,” Munn said on her Instagram story, “we are so sorry to have gone through this traumatic experience together. We are here for you, as you are here for us.”
