Nicki Minaj’s “Super Bass” Hits Diamond Status

In an Instagram video posted to her account on Tuesday, Nicki Minaj celebrates her hit “Super Bass” track from 2011 having gone Diamond a decade after its release. 

“#SuperBassDiamond Thank you for over a decade of support,” she wrote in the caption of her celebratory video. “#Barbz (special thx to Ester Dean, Kane, Juice, Taylor Swift, Sofia Grace & Rosie, Ellen, Young Money/Cash Money & Republic. This one was released b4 the streaming era, so millions of fans actually purchased the song. I’m so grateful for you guys. Sending love & blessings your way.”

Minaj is the second female rapper to achieve a Diamond song after Cardi B first hit the milestone earlier this year for her 2017 track “Bodak Yellow.”
