There are food combinations that are straight-up genius and others that are, well, duds. Cheese flavored popcorn has always been a no-brainer, so crossing fingers that the new Mac & Cheese Popcorn from Conagra Brands’ Act II is going to be a genius combination.

Best Products reports that Instagram accounts @junkpickers and @junkfoodmom recently posted pictures of the new microwavable popcorn. The top questions on everyone’s minds are about the flavor. How will the mac and cheese flavor differ from just cheese? How cheesy will it be? What kind of cheese is used? Act II, please feel free to clarify at your convenience.

There’s no indication of when we can expect to see the Mac & Cheese Popcorn in stores, but we’re keeping our fingers crossed that it’s this year, and soon. It looks like each box will contain six 2.75-ounce bags. With the never ending pandemic keeping the entire country streaming – and consuming mass quantities of popcorn – at home, everyone can look forward to this cheese-tastic experience.

Believe it or not, this isn’t the first time Act II has added mac and cheese flavor to its popcorn. A few years ago, the brand released a ready-to-eat bagged Bacon Mac & Cheese Popcorn.  But this new microwavable variety sounds even better, because it’ll be cheesy and warm, freshly popped at home.
