Neil Young’s Model Trains Generates Auction Cash

Neil Young has been in the news recently, putting his entire achieve, his complete discography on social, giving it away until mid-2018. In addition to being an iconic rock and roll star, Neil has also been a collector of rare model trains; a hobby he grew to love while making lots of money and needing something to do while at home.

Well, that hobby paid off, as he now the beneficiary of an auction that saw his rare and collectible model trains being sold at auction for over $300 thousand dollars. The auction was held at Julien’s Auctions in Los Angeles. At auction bidders were able to take a shot at various collectibles, including the rare Commodore Vanderbilt 4-6-4 locomotive, going with a winning bid of $10,000. Neil had decided to give a portion of the monies to the Bridge School in California, which was Neil’s ex-wife Pegi dream, a co-founder; the school is for little ones with disabilities.
