MTV has decided to use their time and ability to influence young people for a great cause recently and it’s in the way of getting them to vote! What a great move. They plan on really pushing the young crowd to get out, register, and vote.
This is a great move by this network as a lot of their fan-base is the younger crowd, giving them a platform to encourage them to do so. They’re calling it the “+1 the Vote” and they plan on hosting over 1,000 parties come voting day this November.
It feels like a lot of what MTV is pushing is having every young person that is out voting to bring along friends and have them encourage them to register and vote as well. We’ll see how this works, but we’re guessing it’s going to increase voter numbers no matter what.
