This is the weekend for foreign films with a majority of movies this weekend coming with sub-titles. Ghost, Goblins and the paranormal are found in both ‘Goldbuster’ and ‘Insidious: The Last Key,’ while Hollywood reaches back to the mid-1950s for a French film called ‘Bob le Flambeur,’ that real movie buffs will enjoy.

Enjoy the movies this weekend, we always do!

Bob le Flambeur (1956)
(PG) 98 min – Crime
Director: Jean-Pierre Melville
Stars: Roger Duchesne, Isabelle Corey, Daniel Cauchy, Guy Decomble

In this French foreign film, and reaching back to the golden days of ‘International’ Hollywood, a gambler with very little too loose, and not long for his departure puts together a team of pals to take a casino for all it’s worth. [watch trailer]

Goldbuster (2017)
(NR) Comedy
Director: Sandra Kwan Yue Ng
Stars: Alex Fong, Francis Ng, Sandra Kwan Yue Ng, Teng Shen

An internet star fights the demons possessing his building; this foreign film is spectacular to the eyes and delightful to the wit. [watch trailer]

In Between (2016)
(NR) 103 min – Drama
Director: Maysaloun Hamoud
Stars: Mouna Hawa, Sana Jammelieh, Shaden Kanboura, Mahmud Shalaby

Tel Aviv is the setting for a group of young women with Palestine backgrounds, eager to find out what the future holds in a difficult world. Strong language prevents us from showing the preview of this movie.

Insidious: The Last Key (2018)
(PG-13) 103 min – Horror
Director: Adam Robitel
