Yesterday, we wrote about a genre that made waves in the 70s and 80s called ‘Super Groups,’ the collaboration of stars from big bands forming another band as a project or attempt to have a serious run. Here are a few more ‘Super Groups’…

Bad English
Neil Shon of Journey, John Waite and Jonathan Cain from the Babys, and Ricky Phillips from Styx were able to set aside their egos to have hits like “When I See You Smile” and “Price of Love.”

Damn Yankees
Tommy Shaw from Styx, Ted Nugent, Jack Blades from Night Ranger and Michael Cartellone from Lynyrd Skynyrd rocked the free world; their most memorable hits proved to be “High Enough” and “Runaway.”

Power Station
Straight from the exciting 80s, he late lead singer Robert Palmer, Tony Thompson from Chic, and former Duran Duran members Andy Taylor and Bernard Edwards turned up the volume for a few years, with memorable tunes like “Some Like It Hot,” “Get It On (Bang a Gong)” and “Communication.”
