Runners will always remember the exact time of their first marathon, while parents hold the moment of a child’s birth crystal clear in their minds. What were you doing on these significant rock and roll dates?

August 16th, 1977 was Elvis Presley’s last day on earth. Although his popularity had waned over the years, his death served as a reminder that we don’t all last forever, nor do we look the same as we march through time.

November 8th, 1971 was the day Led Zeppelin released “Stairway to Heaven,” a song that influenced a generation, drove millions of radio listeners to that new ‘FM’ dial on their radio and spurred millions in record sales.

April 5th, 1994 was the day the grunge movement commonly refers to the ‘day the music died, as the day Kurt Cobain committed suicide. Kurt and Nirvana became the pied pipers of a new generation; his death was a pail of ice water on the faces of so many.
