“Monday Monday” as the Mommas and the Poppas used to sing, always get me down. Sorry, we all have bills to pay. Here are your Monday morning music news headlines…

If you hang around long enough you get a star. In the case of music legends Hall and Oates, you get a Hollywood Walk of Fame star which they received last week in LA.

The definitive book on the KISS album “Music From the Elder,” a concept album that took a lot of criticism, is out on shelves this week.

There’s a new book about Motown called “Motown: The Sound of Young America,” written by a motor city insider and former record executive. We hear it’s a must read.

Birthdays this week include Randy Jones (Village People), Dave Quincy (Manfred Mann’s Earth Band), Richard Marx, Bernard Calvert (the Hollies), Nile Rodgers (Chic), and Alannah Currie of the (Thompson Twins).

Fleetwood Mac’s Stevie Nicks announced recently that she will be on the road for a solo tour, kicking off October 25th in Phoenix and lasting through the fall.
