The baseball community lost two former greats recently. Darren Daulton and Don Baylor both passed away to start this week, truly making it a terrible few days. Both were baseball greats, earning All-Star bids in their careers.

Daulton was a Phillies star, playing every season but one for Philadelphia. He led the National League in RBI in 1992, which was also the year he won the Silver Slugger Award. The man was an unbelievable catcher and even caught a no-hitter in his day. He was on the receiving end of Terry Mulholland’s no-hitter back in 1990. Darren Daulton passed away on Sunday.

Don Baylor played for many teams in his career and even was the manager for the Cubs and Rockies as well. 1979 was probably his best year as he would go on to be an All-Star and eventually be the MVP of the American League. Like Daulton, Baylor too would lead his league in RBI one season, 1979. Baylor would turn out to be a solid manager as well, earning NL Manager of the Year in 1995. Baylor passed away on Monday.
