Meghan Trainor has had quite the career so far and she’s going to be adding another piece of hardware to her mantle come May 18. This is when the ASCAP Vanguard Award will be given to her at the Pop Music Awards. This event takes place in Los Angeles and is less than two weeks away.
This award is given to those striving to put out new music or be instrumental in the development of it, which Meghan has certainly done in her time as a singer and performer. Among her long list of hits are “Dear Future Husband,” “Like I’m Gonna Lose You,” “No” and “Lips Are Movin’.”
Previous winners of this award include Band of Horses, The Killers, Modest Mouse, Sara Bareilles, Walk the Moon and the Beastie Boys.
