Martha Stewart is Opening her First Restaurant in Las Vegas this Spring

Lifestyle icon Martha Stewart will debut The Bedford by Martha Stewart at the Paris Las Vegas this coming spring. It’s the first restaurant for the entrepreneur with the Midas Touch.

Named for Stewart’s country house in Bedford, New York, the 194-seat restaurant “will offer guests an authentic glimpse of how she lives and entertains in her own home,” according to a press release. With seasonal dinners, weekend brunch, and holiday menus, the restaurant plans to use several local purveyors and some of Stewart’s personal favorites: Las Vegas Farmers Market, Dartagnan Inc., Urbani Truffles, Roe Caviar, Frog Hollow Farm, Jasper Hill Farm, and Vermont Creamery. “Our menu will be delicious, depicting the very same kinds of foods I serve my friends and family,” Stewart said in the release.

Stewart is designing the restaurant herself with plans to bring the outdoors in with a backdrop of neutral tones to reflect the aesthetic of the beloved Bedford abode. (Stewart actually opted to serve the home detention portion of her sentence in 2005 at the then mostly unfurnished house, which she purchased in 2000 for $16 million. She updated the decor during the pandemic and subsequently posted photos on MarthaStewart.com). “When we open the doors, The Bedford by Martha Stewart will be a dining experience you simply can’t get elsewhere,” said Jason Gregorec, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Paris Las Vegas.

Stewart joins other big-name restaurants at the Paris: Gordon Ramsay Steak, the grab-and-go Brioche By Guy Savoy, Bobby’s Burgers by Bobby Flay, the under-construction Vanderpump à Paris from Lisa Vanderpump, and the third local Nobu expansion from Nobu Matsuhisa. Vanderpump à Paris, Nobu, and The Bedford by Martha Stewart are among Vegas’s most anticipated restaurants of 2022.

Rumors of the domestic doyen’s Vegas plans started swirling last July, when Vital Vegas speculated that she would partner with her pal Snoop Dogg for the new venture. Snoop Dogg does not appear to be part of the project. Though this marks Stewart’s first foray into the full-service restaurant world, she did formerly own Martha Stewart Café, a coffee and tea house that closed in 2019.  The cafe had been housed at the base of the West 26th Street office building that continues to be the HQ for Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia.
