Mark Wahlberg, Boogie Nights and It’s Amazing Soundtrack

It’s great to watch a movie and hear one of your favorite songs; especially if the song adds context, drama, or depth to the scene. In the 1998 movie ‘Boogie Nights’ starring Mark Wahlberg, Julianna Moore, Bert Reynolds, Heather Graham and the late Philip Seymour Hoffman, the best music of the 70s and early 80s can be heard. It’s amazing how the producers found the right music for each scene, and the way the song transcends the film. If you were to pick one move that captured the era of the 70s, ‘Boogie Nights’ would be that film.

Briefly, a teenage busboy Eddie Adams (Mark Wahlberg) becomes the adult movies next ‘big thing’ as porn director Jack Horner (Burt Reynolds) nurtures this unknown into adult-film sensation Dirk Diggler.
