Mark David Chapman Denied Parole Again

Mark David Chapman, now 63 and imprisoned for life for murder, has been denied parole for a 10th time. Few can forget the night ABC Monday Night Football sports commentator Howard Cosell broke the rhythm of the football broadcast to tell millions of fans that John Lennon had been gunned down outside his New York apartment. John died at the hands of Mark David Chapman, a deraigned loner who wanted to be famous if only to impress actress, Jodie Foster.

Mark David Chapman was a veracious Beatle fan until he had a religious conversion, thinking that John deserved to die after claiming that the Beatles were more famous than Jesus, a scandal from a few years earlier. Mark was denied parole two years ago in 2016, and his next parole hearing comes up in 2020.
