Mariah Carey’s 2nd Chance at Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve

Mariah Carey is going to be rocking in the New Years on the Dick Clark New Year’s Eve Special next Sunday night. In golf, we call this opportunity for Mariah a ‘mulligan’ and in life, it’s called a ‘second chance,’ after her 2016 disastrous New Year’s Eve performance.

Here’s what occurred; a faulty earpiece at the beginning of her performance last year caused her to scramble words, emotion, and flub the entire song. What made Mariah and her management team really angry was that the production company left the entire debacle play for West Coast viewers (she and her team felt that could have withdrawn the song entirely in advance of the West Coast showing).

Ryan Seacrest will host this year’s ‘Rocking’ Eve,’ which will also feature Britney Spears, Nick Jonas, and Camila Cabello.
