In September 1992, NBC needed to bolster its Monday night comedy lineup, so they brought Helen Hunt (a relatively unknown actress at the time) and comedian Paul Reiser on board to execute a comedy called Mad About You. What the network didn’t know was that America would fall in love with the two stars, making it a hit in any language.
There is now a Hollywood buzz that the show may be returning, as word on the street is that both Paul and Helen have admitted having casual conversations about the ‘what if.’ Helen left the Mad About You series in 1992 to star in incredible films such as ‘Twister,’ ‘As God As It Gets,’ and ‘Pay It Forward,’ Paul stayed in television for the most part, appearing in ‘Curb Your Enthusiasm,’ and the ‘Paul Reiser Show.’
The series ran until 1999 and caught fire with its fans, earning American Comedy, Emmy, and Golden Globe honors.
