Yesterday, the Country Music Association and ABC announced that Luke Bryan will be hosting the 2021 CMA Awards.

This will be the first time since before 2008 that the CMA Awards will have a single host, as Carrie Underwood, Brad Paisley, Reba McIntire, and even Dolly Parton have cycled through different pairings of co-hosts throughout the years.

Bryan, a historic CMA winner, is also nominated for musical event of the year in addition to being the host.

“The CMA Awards is one of the biggest nights of the year for country music,” the American Idol judge said in a statement. “Being asked to host the CMA Awards was definitely something I put a lot of thought into before answering. The pressure that comes along with that can be overwhelming, but knowing I get to help honor and celebrate so many of my friends, I knew it was something I couldn’t turn down.”

The 2021 CMA Awards will air from Nashville, Tennessee on November 10th.
