Although the music genre ‘Rhythm and Blues’ has been around nearly a century, the artists of the 90s proved that anyone can have rhythm, and nearly all of us get the Blues. What were the top R&B tunes of the 90s? This list may surprise you! Here are our greatest R&B singles of the 90s…

1. SWV – Weak
2. Creep – TLC
3. The Boy Is Mine – Brandy & Monica
4. Real Love – Mary J. Blige
5. Hold On – En Vogue
6. This is How We Do It – Montell Jordan
7. My Lovin’ (You’re Never Gonna Get It) – En Vogue
8. You Make Me Wanna… – Usher
9. Vision of Love – Mariah Carey
10. No Scrubs – TLC
11. End of the Road – Boyz II Men
12. Are You That Somebody? – Aaliyah
13. No Diggity – Blackstreet feat. Dr. Dre
14. I Love Your Smile – Shanice

Conclusions: Sadly, the sound of this genre along with many of the artists did not see 2016. Lisa ‘Left Eye’ Lopez, Aaliya would each die in tragic accidents. Mariah is back on the rebound of a lull and multiple marriages, while Boyz II Men are on tour as we speak.
