If you’re bored with your dinner-at-home repertoire, Walt Disney has a chili recipe to liven things up.  Disney has recently blessed us with iconic recipes from its parks like Churro Bites and Dole Whips that we can make at home, but recently, another Disney-centric recipe has been making the rounds and it’s inspired by the man himself.

Disney Family published a recipe for Walt Disney’s favorite chili that’s simply called Walt’s Chili. Walt was apparently super into chili, and according to the post, when he was first starting out, he would combine two different canned chilis to make the ultimate feast. He would even bring canned chili when he traveled with him.

Later on in his life, the Disney family cook created a recipe for a chili that was obtained from Walt’s oldest daughter, Diane, and would later go on to be served at Carnation Café at Disneyland, where it’s still served today.

The recipe looks amazing, but is also pretty simple to throw together.

Walt’s version includes things like green pepper, ground beef, and tomato paste, all stuff you’re probably pretty used to putting in chili. Plus, they suggest you top it with shredded cheese and sour cream, which is always a great idea.  Walt was also partial to crackers, if that’s your jam. You can find the full recipe here.

If that’s not enough for you, Disney’s official fan club also has a recipe for Walt’s favorite chili which is slightly different and offers some tweaks if you like it a little spicier. Either way, you’re getting a delicious pot of chili you can eat for days, so you can’t go wrong!
