Lionel Richie has been in Las Vegas at Zappos Theater at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino with his current residency, and this past week was honored by County Commissioner Jim Gibson with a special day – his own, as last Wednesday, August 15th was declared “Lionel Richie Day” in Vegas.
Lionel has been packing the house in Las Vegas these past few months with his wonderful show called ‘Lionel Richie — All the Hits’ and took time to be the center of attention on his special day. The performer will remain in Sin City through October 20th and has a busy fall as he’s returning as one of the judges on the upcoming new season of American Idol on ABC.
