Van Morrison is a sweet story teller who gave us wonderful songs like “Brown Eyed Girl,” “Domino,” “Jackie Wilson Said” and “Tupelo Honey.” Van has been singing and performing since the mid-60s, but oddly this star from Northern Ireland has done very few tours in the US. He’s out on tour now in Northern Ireland but has no plans for a tour here in the States anytime soon.
Van is the recipient of six Grammy Awards, induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1993; Irish Music Hall of Fame, Songwriters Hall of Fame, and in 2015 was ‘Knighted’ for his musical career and charitable causes in Northern Ireland.
Van Morrison is such a quiet and humble person that he is the only ‘living’ nominee for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame not to attend and accept his own enshrinement.
