Calvin Harris is on the charts with a great song called “Feels” featuring Pharrell, Katy Perry, and Big Sean. Let’s take a minute to go behind the artist and learn more about him.
Calvin was born in Dumfries, Scotland in 1984, and graduated from high school, working stocking shelves and working at a fish refinery, hoping to save enough money to buy DJ gear in the hopes of starting his recording career.
His love was electronic music; at the age of 18, he recorded two songs “Da Bongos” and “Brighter Days,” which got his name out to the industry. His big break occurred when he was chosen to open up for Rihanna on one of her European tours, and the rest they say is rock and roll history.
Would you believe he’s already worth nearly $50 million dollars? If you’re headed to Vegas this fall, be sure to take in the show as he’s in residence at the Omnia in Las Vegas, scheduled for September 8th, 15th, 22nd and 29th, October 13th and 27th, then a final show in November on the 10th.
