Lea Michele & Darren Criss Surprise Audience With Live Cover of ‘Shallow’

Lea Michele and Darren Criss are seasoned professionals when it comes to belting out exceptional covers, and they brought a new one to the stage when they put their spin on A Star Is Born’s smash single.

The Glee alums flexed their vocals while doing their best to bring Jackson Maine and Ally’s intensity to their current LM/DC tour, and performed “Shallow” off the A Star Is Born soundtrack, which currently sits at No. 10 on the Hot 100, for their audience in Las Vegas on Friday night (Oct. 26).

“We’ve literally sang this! never!” Michele excitedly admitted before Criss picked up his guitar and started to strum. The crowd screamed their approval once they realized what Michele and Criss had in store, and the pair then took on Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper’s duet, with Michele nailing every measure.
