Not to make you feel older than you may already feel, but KISS has been touring and recording for nearly half a century. The boys in the band were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2014. Ace Frehley, Peter Criss, Gene Simmons, and Paul Stanley put on women’s makeup and scary outfits, taking the early 70s by storm. The band came up with the name KISS as they were driving to a gig, with Paul saying that he was once in a band called Lipps. Gene replied, “how about KISS?”

The name stuck. The boys decided to pattern the SS after thunderbolts, but critics of the band and stage persona accused the band of making it more like the Nazi SS. They have been able to tour and generate great interest and controversy for a very long time.

Here’s their band’s tour dates through the end of July…

July 7 Boise, ID
July 9 Eugene, OR
July 19 Kennewick, WA
July 12 Edmonton, CA
July 13 Calgary, CA
July 15 Spokane, WA
July 16 Bozeman, MT
July 18 Colorado Springs, CO
July 20 Independence, MO
July 22 Lincoln, NE
