Kelsea Ballerini has had a great 2016 and most recently learned that she had received a nomination at the 2017 Grammys. A few days back, she went to Oliver Middle School located in Nashville, Tennessee to make a huge announcement. Her and the CMA Foundation announced that they would be giving $1,000,000 to public schools in Nashville.

The CMA Foundation has done an outstanding job giving back to schools in this city and the rest of the globe over the years. In total, they are nearing $20 million given to over 40 public schools to help keep music programs alive in the United States.

Kelsea posted on Instagram a thank you to the school and why she was there in the first place, saying “Oliver middle school!!! Thanks for serenading me and inspiring me with your talent. Was so stoked to be a part of such an important morning for music education with @cma and Music Makes Us donating 1 MILLION dollars to Nashville public schools.”
