On Sunday, May 26th, Kelly Clarkson kicked off the festivities at the Indy 500 with her rendition of “The Star-Spangled Banner.”

The singer had a bit of an awkward moment on the red carpet prior to her performance at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway,  tripping on a crack and stumbling. Always one to laugh at herself, Clarkson tweeted out video of the snafu, writing, “Best part of my day is always revealing to people that might not know how utterly not cool I am. That damn crack was hidden by the carpet man!”

Fortunately, she was able to catch herself and go on to sing before the race. See the songstress’ stumble here, and check out the video of her performance here.
