Here are your Monday morning music headlines…

Katy Perry who was a star in the recent DNC Convention in Philadelphia has just released her latest video/single called “Rise,” available on Vevo and other streaming platforms. The song is designed to be part of the Summer Olympics celebration.

Soul icon Rihanna has a wonderful side business that will make you smell yummy. Rihanna’s latest fragrance ‘Crush’ is now available, initially in the Caribbean, then in the states shortly.

Have you been watching the ABC Specials ‘The Greatest Hits,’ the TV show that high lights certain periods of time through the decades? You may have noticed that Ariana Grande was featured in the finale last Thursday. She’s out on tour and in upstate New York next week.

The 60s Monkees are back on tour (including the reluctant Michael Nesmith joining the band for a few dates) and sources say they have never sounded better. Our hearts are still heavy with the tragic 2012 death of original Monkee Davy Jones. They’re on a west coast swing as we speak.
