11 years ago the rap/hip-hop world was hit with one of the greatest albums over the past 20 years. Kanye West released his album, “Late Registration,” and blew us away with an album that had so many great hits on it. It was legitimately an album that was easier to point out the average songs rather than the great songs.

Five singles came from the album, including “Gold Digger,” “Touch the Sky,” “Diamonds from Sierra Leone,” “Drive Slow” and “Heard ‘Em Say.”

At the 2006 Grammys, the album and its singles would see five nominations. It would take home three of them! “Gold Digger” won Best Rap Solo Performance, “Diamonds from Sierra Leone” won Best Rap Song and the album would win Best Rap Album.

“Late Registration” had 21 tracks on it and there were just so many great ones on it. What an album we saw released 11 years ago this week.
