The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Class of 2017 was announced right before Christmas; how did it take the committee so long to let Journey in the Hall? That’s a great question, given they are perhaps, the most deserving band in quite some time to be selected. Journey has been overlooked for years, so let’s give the hall the final stats…

Journey has been recording and touring for over four decades, selling over 90 million records.

Journey has recorded 14 studio albums, with five top 10 Billboard hits and seven top 10 albums. Their number one LP was ‘Escape’ from 1981, containing the singles “Don’t Stop Believin,” “Who’s Crying Now” and their highest chart ranking single “Open Arms.”

Longevity? Check. Total music sales? Check. Chart History? Check. Influencing other bands and dominating the overall sound during their peak years? Check!
