On Friday, Jul 16th at the stroke of midnight, blues-rocker superstar John Mayer dropped his latest album titled “Sob Rock”, his first since The Search of Everything in 2014, which hit No. 2 on the Billboard 200 albums chart.

In support of the new project, Mayer appeared as a guest on the Thursday night episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. Mayer gave late-night TV viewers a taste of what to expect when he performed two songs from it, “Shouldn’t Matter but It Does” and “Last Train Home.”

The Fairfield local led a full band on a soundstage, in what should be a sneak peek to 2021 concert dates. A tour is in the works. But until those details are announced, watch the performance for Shouldn’t Matter but It Does here.
