Jimmy Kimmel to Host 2017 Oscars

Jimmy Kimmel did a fine job hosting the 2016 Emmys and the Oscars have clearly taken notice. They have extended the offer of hosting the 2017 Oscars and Jimmy has signed on to do so next year.

He tweeted it out Monday, confirming what others were reporting was a done deal. This is exciting news for his fans and fans of the Oscars if you ask us. His tweet Monday said, “Yes, I am hosting the Oscars. This is not a prank. And if it is, my revenge on @TheAcademy will be terrible & sweet. Thx to @alsformalwear.”

This big award show will be taking place February 26. Chris Rock hosted this award show earlier this year.
