Janet Jackson Marches Through Hits in Showstopping Performance at the 2018 MTV EMAs

Last Sunday night (Nov. 4), Janet Jackson treated her fans with an incredible performance at the 2018 MTV EMAs. Dressed in black, had to toes (and no shoes), the global icon honoree set the table nicely with her latest single “Made For Now” without Daddy Yankee, while performing on an elevated stage with drummers and torch carriers alongside her.

To conclude her three-song set, Jackson ended the night with “Rhythm Nation.” After taking the stage, Jackson later gave an empowering speech urging women to stand up for justice.

“I feel moved to speak for women’s voices who have been stifled,” she said. “I am one of those women. Women who have been gagged, both literally and emotionally. Women who have been abused. Women who have been intimidated. Women who have lived in fear.”
