It’s about time; Steve Lukather of Toto fame is nearly finished with his memoir, ‘The Gospel According to Luke,’ set to be released this fall. The book’s forward is from guitar virtuoso Steve Vai and will provide readers with real insights on his career and observations about 40 years of rock.

The book, Steve’s first crack at a memoir, will be on bookshelves in mid-September. Toto the band began as a group of session musicians from LA, working on albums from Sonny and Cher to Steely Dan, Boz Scaggs to soft rock stars Seals and Crofts. Their 1979 self-entitled LP ‘Toto’ broke on to the charts with “Hold the Line” and the rest they say is rock and roll history.

Steve hails from southern California and was high school friends with Toto original members Jeff and Steve Porcaro and keyboardist David Paich. Steve has released 8 solo albums and is considered one of the premier guitarists of our time. Again, Steve’s memoir ‘The Gospel According to Luke,’ will be available this fall.
