On Tuesday, Hugh Jackson took to social media to announce that he is experiencing mild symptoms after testing positive for COVID-19.

“I just wanted to make sure you heard this from me,” Broadway’s The Music Man actor explained. “I tested positive for covid. Mild symptoms and looking forward to getting back on stage ASAP! Sending love for a happy and healthy new year.”

Just last week, Jackson’s co-star Sutton Foster announced that she tested positive for COVID.

“Yesterday I tested positive for COVID. At noon Kathy Voytko found out. And last night she went on for Marian Paroo and smashed it,” Foster wrote, celebrating the understudy actors that stepped up in her place. “Grateful to Kathy and our incredible company. Grateful to all swings and understudies who keep all the shows going, now and always.”

For precaution, and so the stars of the show can recuperate, The Music Man announced that performances will be canceled through January 1st. The show will officially open at the Winter Garden Theater on February 10th.
