We’re all keeping Huey Lewis in our thoughts and prayers as he battles a catastrophic hearing loss and a disorder called Meniere’s disease, but that’s not stopping this rocker. Huey will be supporting the hearing loss initiative Starkey Hearing Foundation by being a guest celebrity and speaker at the upcoming 2018 “So the World May Hear” Awards Gala in Saint Paul, Minnesota this Sunday, July 15th. Huey will be joined by Alice Cooper, Gloria Gaynor and Sinbad who will serve as the host of the night’s festivities.
Behind the scenes, Huey has been working with the Starkey Hearing Technologies group to suggest and testing advanced hearing aids. Huey had to cancel the entire tour as his hearing was not only deficient, but he’s described only hearing he sound you might hear if you were standing next to a jet engine.
Huey will be in Saint Paul, Minnesota this Sunday, July 15th on behalf of the Starkey Hearing Foundation for their annual “So the World May Hear” Awards Gala, and we continue to wish him the best of luck with hopes for his full recovery.
