How To Personalize Your New Google Chrome Desktop

Google recently celebrated its popular Chrome browser’s 10th anniversary with a big update. The latest version, “Chrome OS 70,” comes with a wide range of new features, as well as a User Interface (UI) change. In addition to a Google Material Theme, the previous update to Chrome OS introduced Night Light, dictation, Linux app support, and more. The Chrome OS 70 updates thoroughly revamp the interface for touch Chromebooks and tablets, including more rounded tab icons, new icon designs and even a fresh color palette. It also adds AV1 support and more HTTP warnings in addition to security and bug fixes.

Google’s new version is available across all platforms including web, Android and iOS.

Google Chrome’s recent update focuses on giving users more options to personalize individual experience on the browser, including customizing the background image of your browser.

Here’s a quick primer for tailoring the background image on Chrome to suit your fancy:

1. Open the browser on your desktop PC.
2. Click on the Settings button on the bottom right corner.
3. Click on Chrome backgrounds to use the default themes.
4. Click on Upload an image to use your own photo as Chrome background.
5. With “restore default background” you can revert to the default look.
