After attending the 2022 Grammys in a flowing gown, Hailey Baldwin was immediately bombarded with pregnancy rumors.
Fans and followers guessed her fashion choice was an indication of pregnancy and commented a flurry of assumptions on Instagram. Baldwin was quick to shut down the speculation.
“I’m not pregnant,” she wrote, “leave me alone.”
A few supporters came to Baldwin’s defense on the social media platform, suggesting people should “not talk about women’s bodies.. it’s not that hard.”
“Anytime a woman doesn’t wear something form-fitting, she’s automatically labeled as ‘pregnant,'” another user commented. “Maybe she just wanted to wear a comfy dress. Give her a break.”
Baldwin and Bieber have previously been rather open about their desires to start a family. Earlier this year, though, Baldwin explained that she was decisive about not starting any time soon.
“I think ideally in the next couple of years we would try. But there’s a reason they call it try, right? You don’t know how long that process is ever going to take,” she said in a previous interview. “Definitely no kids this year; that would be a little bit hectic, I think.”
