Foodies are open to exploring any number of global cuisines, and if you’re looking to open your palate, you need look no further than India.  Ask any Indian native and they will tell you: they have a voracious appetite for global flavors as well as a unique penchant to make those flavors their own.  That is exactly what has happened with the Indian-Chinese fusion food, which took root years ago and has now a morphed into separate cuisine of its own. From Chinese bhel to Manchurian and schezwan fried rice and noodles, Indian-Chinese is a genre beloved and devoured by Indians across the country.

Thali is one of the most-loved Indian meals, comprising three different courses in one huge order, including starters, mains, accompaniments, beverages and desserts. The thali is considered as the complete meal as it contains ingredients form almost all food groups.

And now Ohanna’s, located in Andheri, Mumbai, has taken it a step further.   The restaurant has now introduced the “Great Thaal of China,” which is essentially an enormous Chinese thali, or plate.  Ohanna’s “Great Thaal of China” seeks to combine the best dishes from across the entire the Indian-Chinese food realm, resulting in a formidable-looking array of dishes served on one huge steel platter in the style of the Indian thali.

Foodies will delight at the Chicken Lollipop, Crispy Chicken, Chicken in Hunan Sauce, Butter Garlic Chicken, all served along with rice or noodles and accompanied with a number of gravy and dry dishes. And vegetarians need not worry, for the platter also contains options like Vegetarian Manchurian, Kung Pao Paneer, Paneer Black Pepper, Honey Chilli Potatoes, and Spring Rolls.   It is a dish even the most devout Chinese food lover won’t be able to finish alone.
