The week is halfway done and we have plenty to talk about. The NBA Finals are almost here as are the final round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs. The MLB season is already 40+ games in, we’re less than a month away from football (thanks to the CFL), and college football is less than 100 days away. Let’s dig into the sports headlines for the week…

The Golden State Warriors swept their way to the finals this season, finishing off the Spurs by 14 on Monday night. The series was never as close as that third quarter where Kawhi Leonard was injured. Steph Curry averaged over 30 points, 5 rebounds and just under 5 assists per game in the series while Kevin Durant averaged 28 points, 7 rebounds and nearly 4 assists per game. The Cavs currently are up 3-1 on the Celtics and could clinch by winning their next game.

The Stanley Cup Playoffs are still going strong with the Ottawa Senators forcing a game seven last night against the Pittsburgh Penguins. They won 2-1 in what was a very exciting matchup.

MLB is shockingly 40+ games deep into the season and the best teams might surprise you. We’re pretty sure that nobody expected the Yankees to be leading the AL East, the Astros to have the best record in baseball and the Cubs to be 1.5 games back of first place in the NL Central.
