Did you know there was a National Guitar Museum? Don’t feel bad, neither did we.

The National Guitar Museum announced a few weeks ago that its most recent ‘Lifetime Achievement Award’ will be bestowed to Glen Campbell. Previous winners of the Lifetime Achievement Award are Roger McGuinn of the Byrds, and B.B. King.

If you love the sound of guitars or the sights of beautiful famous guitars then this museum is for you. When visiting, you’ll see guitars donated by the guitar greats of Steve Vai, Ritchie Blackmore (Deep Purple), Johnny Winter, Tony Iommi (founding member of Black Sabbath), Steve Howe (Yes), Liona Boyd and Joe Bonamassa.

The NGM is often on the road; May 20th through September 20th this year, while the touring exhibit will be at the Berkshire Museum in Pittsfield, MA. Then from September 20th through January 8th, 2018 the exhibit will take residence in Kalamazoo, MI at the Kalamazoo Museum.
