Niall Horan’s “Slow Hands” has been climbing the charts over these past few weeks, so let’s spend time getting to know him a bit better.
Niall is from Mullingar Ireland, born in 1993 to parents that would divorce when he hit his fifth birthday. Like most children on divorce, Niall spent time at both parent’s homes. As a young man Niall chose to predominantly spend time at his dad’s home.
You might say that Niall’s big break came from one of the judges on the Irish version of the X Factor, where he was about to be eliminated before Katy Perry gave him the benefit of the doubt to move him to the next round. At ‘boot camp,’ Niall was put into a group of singers of the same fate; thus the birth of Simon Cowell’s ‘One Direction.’
Niall is a big golf fan, hanging around European Golf stops when he can. In 2016, Niall befriended British PGA pro Justin Rose, and they formed a golfing event called “Horan and Rose Gala” designed to raise money for Cancer Research for young fans in the UK.
