George Kennedy Passes Away

George Kennedy, one of the most enduring actors over the last 60 years has died at the age of 91.

Born George Harris Kennedy, Jr. on February 18th, 1925, George began his acting career on the legendary Phil Silvers Show in the late 50s. He would appear in over 40 movies, including ‘Cool Hand Luke,’ all the ‘Airport’ movies, ‘The Eiger Sanction’ with Clint Eastwood,’ ‘Earthquake,’ ‘The Dirty Dozen,’ and ‘In Harm’s Way.’

George won the best supporting actor Oscar for his role with Paul Newman in the wildly popular 1967 ‘Cool Hand Luke.’ Living in Idaho these past years, George’s grandson, Cory, reported on his Facebook page the death of his grandfather.
