How would you like to have in your hands the first electric guitar ever owned by George Harrison? Well, it’s possible as the Hofner Club 40 model that George bought in 1959 is up for bid at Julien’s Auctions’ upcoming “Music Icons” memorabilia sale May 19th at the Hard Rock Cafe in New York City. Auctioneers suspect the guitar will fetch between $225,000 to $400,000 in bidding. The iconic guitar is the one played in the early days when the Beatles were still called the Quarrymen.

If that doesn’t float your boat, how about the 1965 Fender Telecaster owned by The Band’s Robbie Robertson, also played by the legendary Bob Dylan? The estimated winning bid will be around George’s Hofner in the event. The May 19th auction will also have the Yardbirds 1963 Epiphone Granada guitar played by Eric Clapton, and setlist penned by Beatle Paul McCartney, featuring John Lennon and Ringo Starr’s autographs.

Don’t miss the auction of the year, perhaps decades; the “Music Icons” memorabilia auction May 19th at the Hard Rock Cafe in New York City.
