Today, Steven Spielberg’s own take on Tony Kushner’s West Side Story arrives in theaters nationwide.
An adaptation of the 1957 musical, Spielberg’s West Side Story explores forbidden love and the rivalry between the Jets and the Sharks, two teenage street gangs of different ethnic backgrounds. The film stars Ansel Elgort, Rachel Zegler, Ariana DeBose, David Alvarez, Mike Faist, Rita Moreno, and more.
Just over two-and-a-half hours in length and rated PG-13, West Side Story is a new look at a classic, multicultural story that theater, film, and romance fans from across generations can enjoy together.
