It’s time for us to blow you away with a stat you may not have known before… Foreigner has been playing music for over 40 years! The band, currently out on tour, recently announced that on October 25th, they will play a concert called “The Hits Unplugged” at Carnegie Hall. You would think since they have been together for decades, that there is no venue they haven’t played. Well, oddly enough they have never played Carnegie Hall in New York City.

The special event later this month has a few delicious twists. The band has invited the city’s high school chorus groups to compete in a competition beforehand, where one student will win a $5,000 grant from the Grammy Foundation, and open for the show. Each high school chorus group must submit online an a cappella arrangement or cover of any song from the band.

The winner will appear as the opening act on October 25th at Carnegie Hall. What a cool event for Foreigner and their fans!
