Dakota Johnson reprises her role in the ‘Fifty Shades’ franchise next weekend with the release of ‘Fifty Shades Freed’ movie, but how much do we know about her? Dakota is the daughter of legendary Hollywood stars Melanie Griffith and Don Johnson, appearing in wonderful films like Crazy in Alabama opposite her mother, the original ‘Fifty Shades of Grey,’ ’21 Jump Street,’ ‘For Ellen,’ and ‘The Social Network.’
Dakota comes from Hollywood royalty, her grandmother is Tippi Hendren of Hitchcock ‘Birds’ fame, while her stepfather was another famous Hollywood star, Antonio Banderas. Dakota did some early modeling while still a teenager, gravitating to film with her first role in ‘Crazy in Alabama’ in 1999. She stars in two films that are in post-production with a 2018 release; ‘Susprira’ and ‘The Peanut Butter Falcon.’
